The region's state and provincial legislators will gather this summer in downtown Cleveland for a meeting devoted exclusively to key issues in Great Lakes protection and restoration.
The Great Lakes Legislative Caucus meeting will be held July 13 and 14. Registration is free for state and provincial legislators, and the first 40 lawmakers to register before the June 11 deadline will be eligible for travel reimbursement (see letter of invitation below for details).

With concerns high about the potential impact that an Asian carp invasion could have on the $7 billion Great Lakes fishing industry, policymakers have another dollar figure to consider — $4.3 billion, the estimated price tag of the lowest-cost alternative to physically separating the Great Lakes and Mississippi River watersheds.
